African Malaika partners with Mikoko Ujamaa since 2010 to restore mangroves and coral

 







AFRICAN MALAIKA will also partner with a registered CSO - MIKOKO UJAMAA community organization (several villagers) in Temeke ,Pangani, Kilwa ,Mtwara , Zanzibar and Pemba to co-facilitate the development and implementation of the project and will help with the administration costs and sponsor Restoration projects .

The MUCO is a leading women and youth community-based natural resource management organization in southern Tanzania. It has worked with the southern community on land rights and sustainable natural resource management issues for more than 15 years.

The project aims to empower and work with five communities in Temeke (Mtoni (1), Mjimwema (Kidete) (2)), Kinondoni(kawe (3), Mkuranga (4 -Shungubweni, Boza, Mdimni), Kiembe samaki (5))) in conjunction with Leadership alliance sustainable development goals, Youth Vision Kigamboni, Magogoni Group  and  Village Councils and Gm Mikoko Ujamaa,
Tanzania Forest Reserve (TFS), the respective Municipal council 

The project is expected to build capacity to the local community on land tenures, local natural resource
management, and livelihood and income diversification and therefore contribute to local, national, and global environmental conservation and addressing the impacts of climate change.
